hardly - you gotta walk over there anyhow to do "hidden treats" (which is better w/o a rope anyway) - it's just an exposed sidewalk to the top of GZ and there's a nice rap anchor there you can even grab to lean back over the edge how'd you do on the rest of that pitch steve? leave a rope fixed to do the last one (i reckon it's good n' soaked now)? if so, shiiiit, i might use it to do it, that thing's tits!

8/28 - day #27 - soggy on the trail w/ the recent rains, fall's come quick - steve-o on ground zero, jim n' sal providing sage advice from below - 2 laps on the corner, my first solo climbing of the season - got a goal of 30 such laps before the season ends, so 1/15th of the way now

opb out filming ardnt n' company doing some clambering i believe- heard they even had one of them nefty mini-drones to hover around them while climbing - don't know any of the details, but looking forward to seeing it

on the other hand, i AM deeply afraid that this fire will burn all the shade that's so essential in keeping me from going postal while down there in 1000 degree heat

8/27 - #26 - warriors w/ good'ole-kenny - jim n' sal, the stewarts rocking a parents day-out, rick n' his long-haired hippie-son - muggy but pleasingly breezy up high - pbr's n' american spirits along the way - tales of august vernal ventures - plans laid for seasons to come - that rat-bastard 'nastia appears to have beat me to the pirate-booty, but all for a good cause - who wouldn't want an autographed copy of a bikini-clad clamberer from our Proud Cascades?

wow, beacon was just bristl'n w/ bad-asses n' cascadian legends yesterday! that old boy matt, soloing up jills n' then free climbing grudge book probably takes the bell home though...

naw, i was bumming round w/ the powderhound, good n' hung over after a night climb of the corner n' howling at the moon till dawn - think plaid was climbing w/ geoff - i ain't pretty, but at least i look a mort better than them two troglodytes:)

funny, i was chuckling like an asshole when i drove through the squall line, heading home from beacon, thinking of the folks i'd just seen up there soon to be slip-slid'n away in it all i'll be out there tomorrow and will swing by to see if the sharks ain't snapped it up already.

i loved that stuff so much as a kid i named my first cat after it years ago 7-up did a flavor called "7 up gold" - tasted just the same, but they discontinued it almost immediately - don't know why spetzi ain't caught on in the states?

8/21 - #22 - moonlight ascent - tvash n' i rally at mike's in twilight camas after each enduring a hard days labor on our abodes, i sun-stroked n' wobbly from shoveling dirt all day - the moon gloaming through the gauzy sheets of smoke straggling through the gorge - fire-fucked, hazy light, like a septic bandage slapped across the lunar face, leaky and pus-red orange - the corner in t-shirts, hardly a breath of wind - kenny appears out of the heavens for a helluva session of gut-laughing on the ledge - top out on uprising and over the railing at 3 AM for more of the same - the long, illucid orbit back home, i nearly sail off the road at steigerwald - a lascivious plunge under my domestic sheets even at the arrival of the dawn...

'bout sums up my climbs dunno, seems like there might be some uncomfy chafing likely to occur in said rig... holy shiite muslims, where's the devil's thumb tr?
