  1. This talk of thongs reminded me that Timmy O'Neill packs one of his girlfriend's panties as a summit treat on a long expedition.

I googled for the "classic babe scale" and couldn't find it. Guess it's not so classic.
  3. I don't find Friends to be funny. I think Seinfeld and The Seventies Show are funny.
  4. There's some crevasses, but they are largely avoidable. When we were back there in August a few years ago, we never had to go over any sketchy snowbridges or do any exposed traverses above gapers. If you traverse around 7200-7600 feet, things should be pretty simple. I was also on a two-man rope team with a dude who couldn't reliably self-arrest (dislocated his shoulder twice the previous day).
  5. I agree. I picked up some wicking briefs from Sierra Trading Post for $2 each a while ago. Just that my uninformed [not uniformed] opinion was that women wear thongs to be sexy, not to be comfortable.
  6. it is perfect for holding my skis together, and filtering coffee, so it is in my book can a "full-strength" thong double as an extra runner? The thought of a "full-strength" wedgie scares me.
  7. I especially hate the \ because half the time you need \\.
  8. Ah, my bad. I'll give you $25 for it.
  9. That would be a great companion for the wicking thong in the color of sweatpea. http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?productId=47724190&storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&langId=-1 Soft, silky fabric, no panty lines and no seams make this thong great for everyday wear. 10. Assuming you bought the brand-new A5 fly from the North Face store, I'll give you $20 for it.
  11. Yay! I made it through the entire cc.com picnic without a photo of me as the object of ridicule!

  13. Picnic was fun! I was expecting more folks to show slides though.
  14. the beer is in the store but the show is next door, assuming it's the usual deal
  15. yep, got it reserved
  16. X32 is nice. Very different from granite or basalt/andesite. I was there this afternoon. Was feeling lazy so I mooched TRs off of everyone instead of leading.
  17. So what is the least tagged summit [of some substance] out there in the Cascades? My vote goes for Swiss Peak.
  18. When I moved out here, I shipped at least 100 lbs of books, a cello, a bicycle, and a bunch of random crap via UPS and it wasn't too bad. There was minor damage to the cello at the location of a preexisting injury, but some carpenter's glue fixed that right up. I don't remember how much UPS cost... maybe a few hundred bucks?
  19. I didn't get there until around 8:00, so I'm not sure who was there earlier.
  20. I can bring a fancy computer projektor as part of my "research."
  21. There were at least six of us sitting right by the bigass TV. Dave Schuldt, ChucK, SpecialEd, MattP, AlpineK... > I'm with Matt and Allison on the Alehouse. > Sounds like a deal! So what's with calling the location for a Pub Club and then not showing? Seems pretty lame to me.
  22. There were at least six of us sitting right by the bigass TV.
  23. As a starving grad student, I don't have money for good cameras.
  24. Sorry, got a little carried away on my love for CF. But I will have 2G worth of CF on me for my Norway trip for both listening to music and taking pictures.
