O I know . . . N Face Cook too!

My Lifetime Garibaldi Park Ticklist: Moe, Gunsight, Rampart, Pitt, Remote, Ashes all remote pieces of shite rock with bush approaches. This is not something I am trying for, but might inadvertently acomplish over 50 years.

http://www.bivouac.com/ExpPg.asp?rq=Pg&ExpId=142 C'mon Dru, I've only got TWO of those! You gotta have some sort of prize system like a good chunk of horseswantz! Most involve good bits of bush! Pk 8200, "Sockeye Horn" -- Cadwallader Bush Wack! Northgraves, Delilah, hmmm. . .
-
Yeah, headin to Marble. Anybody ever done Dreamweaver and know if belays are as marginal (pins) as the were when Knight wrote the description?

I like that story in the latest issue of Gradefest Magazine where Timmy O'Neill et. al were climbing some mammoth limestone piece of choss in the Venezuelan jungle and they had to climb barefoot cos the rock was so green and snotty. That's style, hangin like monkeys off rock in the jungle!

Socks? Isn't that going a bit too far down Horsecock Road? Never understood the old school sock thing, someone enlighten me. I've climbed when its minus 10C without socks and been fine (mind you, circulation does seem to cut off sooner, hmm). If it's that cold, you're probably gonna have ice on the route and you should just climb the thing in boots. I wear slippers for everything; yes pain, but sensitivity!
-
Oh well, can't climb mid 11 anyways . . .
-
For anyone interested, driving by Joffre yesterday, Central Cooler looked very fat and full, top to bottom.

Give horsecock the chance and it'll eat you and everyone you care about!

Don't feed the slots! They get acustomed to human food and start to get aggressive! [ 06-19-2002, 05:16 PM: Message edited by: jordop ]

Pocket is the next one to the west, between Ensakwatch and Silesia creeks, sort of Half Dome appearing from the Reford trail. Rapid is the Bear appearing one at the head of Ensakwatch/Nesakwatch

Yes, it's 7259', and Fred refers to it as Rapid Peak on p. 164 of the Red Album, but whatthehell is with your route descriptions Mr. Berdinka? Wheredya get that from?

Alan: www.bivouac.com for all your Cheam Range needs. Specifically: http://www.bivouac.com/RtePg.asp?rq=Pg&RteId=234 for info on the trail. Spoon "lake" is the cute little pond that forms behind a Teletubbyesque roll of meadow at the end of the Chipmunk Creek FSR. Not on map. Chipmunk FSR is easy to follow as it is well loved by hikers and sled heads alike; the spurs to take are the only logical ones. It has, though, been getting quite rough in recent years so that it is probably only advisble to try it with high clearance 4x4 or short wheelbase Sidetip type stuff. I once ripped out the floor in my old man's Honda on that road while skipping class to go hike up Lady Lady and Cheam can both be done from here as mere sneezes. Knight is a great one day ski trip but probably pretty bland as a hike. Why not try Baby Munday? Approaches from Wahleach/Jones are all bushed up pretty good, though you could get in there in the spring to do sumpin nasty on one of the N faces. I'm sure Dru will add to this

Slush and shrund Snow is pretty slushy right now for booting it up; there will still be lots of snow around Elfin Lakes so skis are your best bet. Perhaps - Darwin forbid - you are going to sled up via Brohm Ridge, though. S ridge of Atwell is way out judging from the mud visible from Squamish. Standard route on Garibladi is just snow with some navigating around the edge of the berger. [ 06-11-2002, 11:08 PM: Message edited by: jordop ]

Man, I'd be all over that! A sled descent of Redoubt After that I'm gonna push the sled up the Diedre trail and see if I can highpoint on the Apron
-
I meant "do" as in ski

Well, do tell now that we're all salivating.
