  1. I do not think they will mind if we return to the Park Pub as long as we let them know we are coming so they can put an extra person on the floor.

    PULLED??????

The word 'cunt' does not deeply offend me, nor does the term 'bull dyke.' I work in the trades, and have therefore been called much worse just for showing up to work. I do know a lot of poeple who don't get called such names often to find this kind of talk deeply offensive, and I'm inclined to stand up and be counted in their support. Like I said before, I'd like to see the homophobia go away on this board in its entirety. Seems to me that YOU are trying to custom-tailor the lexicon (do ya know that word?) to fit your own hate-mongering...but than that is just one lowly woman's observation. I do find it odd that you called me a bull dyke because I dissed you, Dan. Is that what you call all women who do that? Or do you hate men like that too? Maybe you hate everyone for all I know... And SK, I am familiar with the concept of 'taking words back' and am not down with the program on that. You are welocme to it, but I'm not interested in going that route. DAN LARSON STILL SUCKS!

  5. Just to confirm, we are at the Duchess in Seattle tonight...? Doubt I will be able to make it but just wanted to confirm because we have so many threads on this right now. I hope to make it by.
  6. I am? Uh oh, I might have some 'splainin' to do...
  7. Unless you guys know something I don't, we will be continuing to load in this show here at the theatre, and I will be working. It's got nothing to do with me though I must say that the Eastside showing at the last Eastside PC was pret-ty slender! Have fun at the Duchess tomorrow night, guys!

    PULLED??????

OK, at the risk of having someone pull my toenails out with a pair of pliers, I just want to say this one thing that many people have said before: DanLarsonSucksDanLarsonSucksDanLarson SucksDanLarsonSucksDanLarsonSucks Hmmm...could it be that Ray and I are on the same side of this?
  9. Is that the place in Bothell? See you there some Monday night, if they ever let me have another day off from work....Kart racing kicks ass, even if you suck at it, like I do.
  10. surf on over to the WTA website and check out the trip reports. Best conditions info in all the land!
  11. It's a MOVE, not a ROUTE, you dunce!

    That's It!!!

See you later, wanker. You are a pig, and not even a funny pig.
  13. Guy sounds like a real piece of work. I hope he gets in trouble for being such an idiot. I am starting to think I am the only climber in the PNW who would rather avoid the hassles and just buy the damn parking pass. I hate the idea of it on so many levels, but 2 hours of my time hanging with the fuzz in the Snow Creek parking lot...well, I'm just not into that either! If you are going to make a statement about the stupid pass system, don't forget to write your congresspeople, and give some $$ tot he Access Fund to lobby on your behalf. Seems that the vast majority of climbers are anti-permit, is the local AF working on this item? Is there anything we can do to make it not become permanent?
  14. 1. I am learning to enjoy something the KTK and others refer to as "French Free." It's so funny to hear trad climbers dissing on the trashy ethics of sport climbers and yet this French thing is acceptable.... 2. I invented a move called the "snatch jam" 3. I got in trouble at work for saying "while you're down there" to a male co-worker who was working on his knees in front of me. The guy wasn't mad, but another guy claimed he was offended because I could say that and he couldn't. [ 04-29-2002, 10:33 AM: Message edited by: allison ]
  15. LOVE DAT CLOBBERLEEF!!
  16. Take it over to Spray, you boneheads. There's plenty of bandwith for this sort of pole-cattin' over there.
  17. Hi, lots of fun had by all again this week. Lots of 75 cent Wimpy burgers, much enhanced by the Condom-mint Bar....except Chris W who seems to like his au natural. When my Ballard carpool arrived Matt P, Erik, Lizard Brain, and HikerWa were already ing. Arriving presently were Alpine K, v, SpecialEd, Lindsay, Mike Adamson, Shawn, Mtnrngr, To The Top, and Dwayner. Dwayner did some sort of interpretive dance involving some tangling of his Tshirt. I'm not sure what he was trying to do, but it was funny. His tummy is white, like a fish belly. Then along came Holly Climber for a brief cameo. The legendary Dave W was there, and late arrivals Figger Eight, Mystic Nacho, and joekania added some spice to the stew. We thought it was a full house, but then oo9 and Lambone showed up and then we really had a party. It was determined that MN was the youngest attendee, being juuust barely old enough to be there. I believe many of this week's Pub Clubbers will be seen climbing in 11worth this weekend, in the wake of the 90 Mountaineers and all of the other "little" groups that filled up the Icicle last weekend. It was a long drive back to Ballard last night. Next week it's Tacoma's turn again? Waddle it be, City of Destinyers? Swiss? E9?? CLOVERLEAF?? [ 04-24-2002, 11:39 AM: Message edited by: allison ]

  20. Hey, now, confusing yourself is the best way to stay honest!! I'm thinking Alki myself.
  21. I've done a ton of sewing of outdoors stuff, and I can tell you that you will probably end up spending more than you want to on materials, it will take a lot of time, and you may not be happy with the results of sewing your own pack. Matter of fact, I was thinking of making that very same pack, but talked myself out of it due to the above factors. For the time and effort, I would consider sticking to simple clothing, things made of fleece, hats, and all kinds of stuff sacks. One of my finest sewing accomplishments is an exact knockoff of the TNF Denali pants, down to the 3-piece Taslan overlay on the knees, and honestly if I had it to do over again, I would buy them off the rack. They look great, but between the cost of materials and the time they took me to make, it wasn't worth it. Stick to smaller stuff and you'll be happier. A book you might find helpful: Sew and Repair your own Oudoor Gear , Louise Lindgren, Mountaineers Press. Good Luck!
  22. [/QB] Considering that KTK is really nothing more than a pubescent circle jerk, somehow I don't think that would work.[/QB] You sure about that? Last weekend's KTK crew was 50/50 boys to girls and at least half in attendance were 35 or older..... [ 04-21-2002, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: allison ]
