    More winter

    More? What winter?
  2. Two works: The Red Green Show
  3. You speak as if it's a bad thing ...
  4. There was no climbable ice on Blackcomb last week either.
  5. The gov's election in Washington wouldn't pass muster either. Not surprising that Gregoire has lost interest in "making sure that every vote is counted" since the last count was in her favor. Just another lying politician.
  6. Will the gondola be running that weekend? I'd hate to have to hike that far.
  7. The GoreTex membrane doesn't need to be treated, but the outer fabric needs an effective DWR for it to work. If the fabric doesn't bead and gets saturated, then the laminate can't breathe. Climbing Mag was giving away small bottles of ReviveX at the Ouray Ice Festival, although that doesn't help you now.
  8. Upswing, downswing ... If you swing both ways you're always busy.
  9. Yeah, the straps and haul loops are sewn directly to the dyneema bag material without re-enforcement. They can rip out of the bad without too much effort. The shoulder straps and hip strap are ok. Every other strap is fragile.
  10. No, he's Chilean. It is a bit nippy outside. Try wearing a sweater.
  11. It's now in a bookstore near you.
  12. Hell, let's just put a (climber's only, of course) gondola to the top and be done with it.
  13. And if you can't get a good fit with leather boots, plastic boots with thermofit liners ROCK!
  14. Sounds like you need the La Sportive Mega Max Rock Climbing Shoes! Marry a climbing shoe with a gaiter and you'll get the winter-loving Mega Max. Inside, the board-lasted suede boot laces up and is insulated for comfort. Outside, the gaiter and boot cover protect from weather and abrasion with water-repellent Schoeller®-Keprotec® and Schoeller®-Dynamic®.
  15. I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but when heated, the intuition liners mold to the inside of the boot as well as your foot. I replaced the stock liners in my Verticals with the Intuition liners from cheapsnowboards.com and they work great.
