E. washington gets them... the biggies, with the lightning darting from cloud to cloud... they fill half of the horizon... you can smell them coming and your hair gets frizzy

I like my Sony DCR TRV-730 It's not the smallest around, and runs digital 8, not the "newest" fanciest, but works fine for me, and plugs right in to my computer (firewire) also the lens, zoom and sound seem quite good.

gradys is by montlake cycle shop... By car from Downtown Take northbound I-5 to exit 168B to SR520 eastbound. Take the first exit (Montlake Blvd.). Turn right on to Montlake Blvd., head south for 6 blocks to 24th Avenue East and Lynn Street. By bus from downtown Catch the #43 at 3rd and Pike Street, ride up and over Capitol Hill, down towards Lake Washington. Hop off at 24th Avenue East and Lynn Street. We are just across the street. We are also on the #48 bus line.

coopers is still far from my house (for another month) Grady's is actually closer... Dwayner, sorry about last week, I'm sure it was due to some dire emergency that I did not show up, I can't remember, to long ago to worry about... come to think of it, I had early work+call the next day and ended up working like 16hrs straight, so it was a good thing I did not stay out late... (whine whine whine, excuses excuses...)

North end of Woodland Park has some REALLY nice covered BBQ areas... And the scenery is hard to beat... Easy parking and I did not see very much in the way of patrols...

I believe it is aspirin that is the worst for bleeding. It inhibits platelet aggregation irreversibly. The other NSAID to too but in reversible fashion. Fairweather mentioned the antihistamine Benedryl. I second that. It can be used in case of allergic reaction, as in the case of bee stings, and it can help stop high altitude coughing (at least it had that effect on me). It also helps you get to sleep. Benedryl... the wonderdrug... I don't know about the other NSAIDS being more reversable than asprin. All I know is that they all make people bleed more.

city of rocks, Camping when I went down was easy, just pull in on a weekday, and keep the spot as long as you want (i can't remember the fee's thougth, sorry) The only think to be aware of for the kiddy, is that the granite there is REALLY sharp, and eats finger tips like nothing I'd been on before. There are lots of great bumbly routes, it is still one of the best trips I've ever been a part of... And the scenery (if you like rocks) is so astonishing. Take a camera... Go for it!!!

I worked all weekend. Way to go sending some routes Distal, be they boulder or multipitch... Wish I were out enjoying the weather... Does the Dog Park after work count? Ignore the jealous ones... Keep up the good work!

One thing no one has mentioned here is that the NSAID's make you bleed more, and Tylenol in very high doses can damage the liver. There is just no right answer is there (other than not getting injured in the first place)

I vote for the ballroom, but it sort of doesn't count, since I'm on call and could only play pool...

What is it about climbers and dogs... Will no one else be our friends??? Kidding... I think we need a dog day get together too!!!!

And the best part about Mangnuson is for those of us with dogs, they can wear themselves out at the off leash area pre-BBQ, and will be nice and mellow at the 'Q.

Didn't some guy fall about 3 years back soloing on the cable out at Banks Lake? Broke himself real bad and crawled to the road (not really that far if you know the area)

Some friends and I invaded the cloud room once, we were dressed in yuppie biker gear, so they were not going to let us in, so we "found" our way into the dining section, and then when they caught us, said we'd gotten lost on our way to the bathroom...

I was just going to recommend a big piece of paper, or a 8X11 climbing picture... I don't know if he'll be there next weekend for me to give it to him, but if he has friends on the board, maybe we can give it to them to give to him... But, if we think a card would be better, I'll bring a card to PC.
