You can also mix a little tea tree oil in the water and kill any nasty biofilms back in there. Gargling with salt water gets the same area from the other (throat ) end. A mix of gargling and nasal saline syringing cleans me right out, so i can taste and smell again.

Nasal irrigation with salt water has been working wonders for me.

Also, once you cross Nesakwatch Creek and get onto the trail on old logging road leading up to the Memorial and Propellor Cairn, the snow is weighing down the alders and pushing them onto the road. We were up there a month ago to check conditions and gradually progressed from walking (and pushing alders out of the way) to ducking, to full on crawling through the snow before we gave up and turned around.
