So I ended up climbing over the long w/e with a 10 yr old We tried to go to Skaha with his mum and climb some easy routes. Saturday morning we did some bouldering near Hedley, some mine exploring and some stone skipping. We saw a goat at the old mine. Sunday went to Skaha but the new parking lot was rammed full.We took the old hush-hush free approach up into the hills north of Bedrock City and found some unknown/unscrubbed crag to play on. We climbed a boulder, then did some roped routes, about 5.0 and 5.7. It was the Kid's first time climbing outside and he dug it. After that it was too hot so we headed off for some ice cream and back to camp. Made smores by the fire that night, saw another goat through binoculars in the AM and came home ahead of the traffic. Pretty fun weekend.
