Any route on Shuksan is pretty cool. One beutiful mountain. One plus of the NF is you get to see all sides of the mountain traversing all around.

If you were doing the full north ridge of stuart, which approach would you use? (stuart lake trail or Ingalls Lake trail) and Why? We have the ability to leave a vehicle at Ingalls Lake trail head to decend via cascadian couloir and avoid a north side decent if approaching via stuart lake. Talked to two of the rescuers today, and they gave a few details. A guy fell somewhere around the double hump area by the summitt. Evidently he pulled on a hold or boulder and it came off. He was unroped and fell 100+ feet. He is in bad shape (cranial fractures) and other injuries.

Horsecock is king. Have fun on the death slabs of Darrington.

I finally found a victim for some alpine fun (suffering).

Just heard from Red Monk yesterday they got avied off the route. Might want to wait for cooler weather. Most parties decend the White Salmon

I would stay with these brands wild country, Black diamond, Metolius, and Aliens (for small sizes). You can get forged friends fairly cheap. Then double those with camalots 1,2,3 when you have the money. Metolius TCU's are good for small pieces, but I prefer Aliens.
