  1. would you all be as offended if moses turned out to be gay, and would have actually been delighted by tvash's offer?
  2. i think he said "moses should suck my my penis" or something like that. which is obviously absurd since moses passed a long time ago.
  3. i don't think he said "fuck moses".
  4. holy crap! look at what i found on the internet! some sick twisted posters out there!
  5. Isn't Raindawg's posts here really the other side of the coin from that T'vash added? Both are seeking to be be provocative just because it is fun to poke somebody in the eyes. Perhaps there is something about Dawg's post that you find manipulative or dishonest in some small way, but hey: isn't that the norm for spray postings? How is any of this any worse than the daily spew of insults and lies that we have come to expect in the Spray forum and some seem to think can rightfully spill over to other areas of the board? There's a big difference, Matt; I get the jokes here. buahahahaaaa. you ARE the joke here. i believe cc.com is tvash's GRIPPER proxy. (btw, your arrogance keeps you from seeing your own short-comings. just a thought.)
  6. i think rudy likes his job situation, and that's why he stays. the rest is just window dressing.
  7. i think somehow you are equating actual policy positions of mccain's with emotion driven witch hunts. there is a difference. my post indicates actual mccain Policy Positions, positions that many might not be aware of. since he is touted as a "common sense maverick" type, it's important for people to know the truth of his positions, so they see beyond the rhetoric.
  8. ah yes. given enough time, obama too will have opposed civil rights legislation and roe v. wade; he too will have wished to bomb iran and further the occupation of iraq. obama too will come to oppose health care coverage for children and veto anti-torture legislation. it all makes sense now. given enough time, everyone will turn into.... an extremist republican.
  9. 10 things you should know about John McCain (but probably don't): 1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1 2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."2 3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.3 4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."4 5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.5 6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.6 7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."7 8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8 9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."9 10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10 Sources: 1. 10. there's some place in CO that you send your pull-ons to and they'll set 'em up for 30 a pair. pretty sweet deal. c4 rubber even i think.
  11. i don't know, sorry for jumpin on some of yers fave bands here, but i just don't get it.
  12. man, i just don't get it with guys like satriani or vai. i mean ok with satriani he's a goob and all but he at least seems like a real nice goob, who unfortunately plays the most boring music this side of, well, steve vai, who unfortunately doesn't have goobdom to hide behind. i just don't get it. a cliche is still a cliche, no matter how fucking "well" played.
  13. don't make fun of michael jackson. first of all, you're just being a media filter victim, and secondly, yer being a cliche.
  14. yeah but if he was interested, i bet he'd climb 5.13 within 4 weeks....
  15. pssst, Buckethead: you look like Michael Jackson. well no shit, they both wear a similar mask.
  16. most climbers i know who are psyched about both ropes and boulders have a fairly balanced relationship between the two, including myself. most 5.12 climbers i know will climb v4 5 and 6, with an occasional v7 during bouldering season, v8 or 9 for 13 climbers, and v10 for 14. if you have the power to pull the moves on a specific route, you'll probably rp it, given enough time. if you can't pull the moves, then obviously you'll never rp.
  17. buckethead noodles: v/yaCErlW-3p8
  18. accepted norms, for what they're worth, have traditionally lumped 5.12- with V4 in difficulty, so it seems you're right in there.
  19. No..... they are way better guitar players. but they suck ass. what a paradox.
  20. i've never gone skulking, but i love swimming rapids. what are the biggest rapids people skulk?
  21. true, but would you legalize all forms of drugs, incuding crack cocaine and meth?
  22. combination of things. it's not a done deal yet (house isn't on market, and won't be for another month or two; still a chance for cold feet/sentimentality to affect our decision, among other things), but it's where we're leaning. the main thing is location for me. we're in a cool spot in rainier valley, with views of lake washington, seward park, the olympics a little, downtown etc, but my life in seattle has always been more in the north end. we bought here 5 years ago because we could afford this really cool house with views and all (something similar would have been close to double up north), but the drive's always been an issue. so, with the market the way it is, it might be a good idea to step out for a little while we can still realize maximally good returns on this house (so the theory goes!), live a simple life on our boat while the weather's nice, and watch the market while keeping an eye out for houses in areas we want to be in (west phinney, queen anne, west ballard....). i'm not averse to renting if we find nothing, since we might even leave the area at some point in the next 5 years.
  23. ah yes, the eloquence shines again. but seriously, what is the source for the above thoughts? i find myself somewhat in agreement about the sub-prime situation....
  24. the house, if not paid for, is a liability on their balance sheet.
  25. Funny! we're planning on the same thing, down to living on our boat while watching the market.
