Next time park at the old Hyak ski area go up hill and take a road to your left. This decends slightly then climbs up to Windy Pass, turn left up the clear cut. This will be faster than Nordic Pass.

Do taxes.

So how do you get in there? Up the road from Hyak, or is there a faster way?

Why do I get the feeling we are going backwards?

If I was in Mongolia I wouldn't be wasting time on the net. I bet his connection is slow and flaky

The seeps realy make it hard to keep snow there. I wondered about the 31" myself.

No no no don't say that the B/C is that good! Let the area skiers stay in the areas and leave the good stuff to us!

For some reason while I was running today I wondered what ever happened to those guys who claimed to get a fusion reaction in a glass of water. I think their names where Ponds and Flieshmen. Any of you science types know any thing? It was a big media circuss about 10 or 15 years ago.

Welcome to the BBTC Marie! You've got some great trails to ride out there in BFE. It's a nice group of folks. Soon you will be ready for those Capitol Forest epics I've been doing.

Relax, it's all bullshit. If it rains long enough or you sweat you will get wet. Get pit zips. -

Outhouses are important. I think the arguement is that hikers use gas to get to the trail head so they should get some of the money. I bet some ot the fee demo $ gets used for mixed use trails that alow motos.

Great TR, the more you forget the less you have to carry, so the faster you can move.

I looked on the ONP site and found out that they require permits for the Grand Pass area. May just go to Dose Medows and turn around so I don't have to mess with getting the permit. They have loaner bear cans, they will be nice for the high country.

Thinking of doing a loop Starting Huricane Ridge entrance, over Huricane Ridge to the Elwa River, up Long Ridge then back down the the Elwa, Hyden Pass, Cameron Pass, Grand Pass then Obstruction Peak and out the Obstruction Point road. Need to use the entrance near PA because I will be taking the bus. Any random thoughts on this trip? The camps seem to be well spaced so the days shouldn't be to long. Planing on going the week before july 4th or in early September. There looks to be some walk up choss piles I can bag along the way. I don't think there will be any snow travel in late june, is that right? How many people will I run into. I will be solo so I want to stay on the trail or on easy terain off trail. Thanks.

One of these would have avoided the whole mess, I, _________________________ (fill in the blank), being of sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alivindefinitely by artificial means. Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of peckerwood politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their lives depended on it. If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to sit up and ask for a cold beer, it should be presumed that I won't do so ever again. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my spouse, children and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes and call it a day. Under no circumstances shall the members of the Legislature enact a special law to keep me on life-support machinery. It is my wish that these boneheads mind their own damn business, and pay attention instead to the health, education and future of the millions of Americans who aren't in a permanent coma and who nonetheless may be in need of nourishment. Under no circumstances shall any politicians butt into this case. I don't care how many fundamentalist votes they're trying to scrounge for their run for the presidency in 2008, it is my wish that they play politics with someone else's life and leave me alone to die in peace. I couldn't care less if a hundred religious zealots send e-mails to legislators in which they pretend to care about me. I don't know these people, and I certainly haven't authorized them to preach and/or crusade on my behalf. They should mind their own damn business, too. If any of my family goes against my wishes and turns my case into a political cause, I hereby promise to come back from the grave and make his or her existence a living hell.
