On Wednesday Otto and I rolled out at 5:30, traffic was light going our way. We got to the trail head at 7:15. I was happy to see the improvements; the toilet, kiosk, larger parking area and sign are a hopeful indication the FS plans to keep the road open. We did the Big tree pitches then headed over to Under The Boardwalk and finished up with the first 2 pitches of Cornucopia. Some hikers wandered by in the afternoon otherwise we had the place to ourselves. If was a great high friction day with clouds and a bit of sun. The only rain we hit was on the way back. Once again a big thanks to mattp and friends for all their hard work the new bolts and topos are great. Colors are early this year.

The monorail is cool. It realy sucks that the people in charge fucked up. Busses are great but they just arn't fast enough. When will we learn?

CNN went to court and the judge ruled the government couldn't block them from filming dead bodies. This is a temporary stay. I wonder what the government will argue in court. Something like it's OK to show dead bodies as long as they don't make Bush look bad.
