Washington, DC -- The Republican National Committee announced today that the Republican party is changing its emblem from an elephant to a condom. Governor Marc Racicot, RNC chairman, explained that the condom more clearly reflects the party's stance today, because a condom accepts inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're getting screwed.

Kinda funny how everyone wants funding for thier project but doesn't want to pay any more taxes. BTW Democrats are just as good at pork as Republicans. One of the guys at work was bitching about the WA state gas tax, so I asked him about those state bridge jobs we do once and a while. He didn't get it.

Take note!!!! Work has started on renovation, and this Thursday at 8 PM, the bridge will be closed until Monday night. Don't get stuck. Driving through Belfair or Shelton, is expected to be bad. Only car ferry is from Port Townsend, and it is small. Next closure is August 21, Sunday, at 8 PM. Not sure on length of second.

My uncle worked for the BSA for years. He told me one sucsessful lawsuit could send them down the drain. I hope that doesn't happen. Some of those scout trips do serious stuff in the backcountry so normal risks apply. I don't like the mix or religion and patriotic BS, however, they do get kids away from TV and video games.

I hear you. If you were into bikes it wouldn't be so bad. I can ride road and nountain w/o a car ride. People are flakey some more so than others, you just have to deal with it.

I always use the lower setting when I'm on the trail. As soon as that new trail on Grand Ridge opens I am going to buy a new set up for night MTBing.

If it's above 70 in town I wouldn't go. It's all foot work so when it's hot it's no fun.

My biggest problem with other bikers is when they don't use lights. Lighting systems keep getting better and cheaper.

The reations I've seen so far from car drivers have been positive. It usualy takes about 5 minutes or so for the mass to pass so trafic isn't delayed that much. To those who don't agree with CM I say try it once and then form your opinion.
