  2. Won't argue with that. But do you see where I'm heading with this Colorado initiative? It's an idea I would like to see applied here where my party is the minority, but not in a similarly Republican state. The idea is good on paper, but poor in practice I suppose. ...and the Dem's attempt to change Colorado's system at this late date certainly qualifies as gerrymandering IMO.
  3. Not a slur. A fact. How else can you explain Jim McDermott?
  4. So you support the EC-proportion idea in predominantly Republican Colorado, but not here in Democratic WA? If you're not nicer to me, I'm going to.....IGNORE you!
  5. I won't reply...because you're ignoring me.
  6. Get a grip, Michelle. You do seem to have a problem with comprehension when faced with unfamiliar ideals. Whether this is intentional, or some sort of personality defect I am as yet unsure. Our past conversation about "moderators" and Tim Russert comes to mind. Same strategy. I've seen this before...some call it playing dumb. Hey! did they take away your moderator badge?
  7. ...enlightened like you, I suppose. Thankyou....for making my case.
  8. Not true. This proposal would take effect immediately and would apply to this election. This is why there is so much concern about Colorado post-election lawsuits.
  9. Get real, Michelle. You know I was talking about late-changing the rules in CO. My point about this state's (WA) distribution only relates to your probable reluctance to give up the Democratic electoral monopoly here and your likely hypocricy therein. I would support this idea here because a large geographic portion of this state's population goes unheard in presidential elections. I believe only four out of thirty seven(?) counties go Dem...but that's enough to pull it. (King, Thurston, Island, Whatcom)
  10. The problem lies in that the CO state constitution specifically calls for the legislature to ammend voting procedures and electoral allotment. I'm all for the idea...especially here in WASHINGTON STATE where the Seattle elite drive the states 11 votes into the Dem column....but attempting to change the rules at the end of the game is a typical left/lib move.
  11. Fun weekend! Saturday. Mountain biked to Cutthroat Pass with my brother. Snowing! Sunday. Climbing (belay slavin') at Fun Rocks in Mazama with brother. Neat place!
  12. George W Bush: 320 electoral votes. While the first debate was a disaster, Bush's failure to botch the second debate and his likely victory in tonight's contest now leave me confident he will win in November. Additionally, the violence-free elections in Afghanistan, the possible unravelling of the Falluja insurgency, the Mahdi army surrendering (some of) their weapons, the uncovering of more (of Saddam's) mass graves in Kurdish areas, the landslide victory of our Australian ally, and John Kerry's ongoing demonstrable contempt for the process spell the end for his plans. A recent look at the electoral map reveals that Kerry would have to have many, many things go his way for a victory. Barring some last minute mud....and it would have to be really dirty mud....Bush will win. I'm predicting; by a lot. All of this IMHO, of course.
  13. I'll bet Nike wouldn't donate $15,000 to The Ruckus Societylike Patagonia! You call that being "socially conscious"? Boycott Patagonia.
  14. How many electoral votes should Canada State be allotted? Will we now have to endure three languages? Will Vancouver be beautiful once again? Will Victoria be required to build a sewage treatment plant? Will highways there now be required to have stripes and reflectors? Monday night... hockey? Does this mean I don't have to hide my handgun enroute to Alaska? Are their cows still mad? Mount St Elias will no longer be the second tallest mountain in The US. How long will it take our forces to put down the counter-insurgency inside the Edmonton Triangle?
  15. Hey Pope! How about those election results in Australia! Your buddy's stooges couldn't sabotage the re-election of John Howard, a good man and ally in Iraq.

I suspect it's a small black box with a red botton in the center labeled "North Korea" or "Iran". Please keep this conspiracy shit up! It effectively reveals the pseudo intellect kook psychology within your circle-jerk.

I think that these two men are both more desirable candidates for president than their respective bosses.
  21. Good post, Greg! Click on the link below to see more tolerance from the left/Dems. You'll have to wait for a 10 second "Oil of Olay" ad to finish, then you can feel the love...... http://www.king5.com/cgi-bin/bi/video/wmPlayer.pl?title=www.king5.com/ki_082704WAprotesterpunched.wmv
