  3. There are demonstrable truisms that relate to religion and politics, ie: Catholicism lends itself to feudalism. Protestantism lends itself to capitalism. Atheism lends itself to communism. Islam lends itself to theocratic dictatorships. etc... ...but there are always exceptions and outliers. Not sure why Stone's thesis would upset you.
  4. I sure wish Hillary was the prez right now. Dear God, I never thought I'd hear myself utter such blasphemy...

  6. Morality exists apart from religion. I have a few liberal friends who consider abortion morally wrong. Even murder. Why should you even care about this nonsense? I think those on the left are more guilty of this. See "fairness doctrine" and "net neutrality" for some of their latest efforts. Fucking Catholics. They should lose their tax-exempt status for this shit. In fact, I'm not sure why any church should enjoy this status. While I agree they agitate, I'm not sure what method you would propose to silence them. They have a right to their views. I agree that the latest "intelligent design" push is thinly veiled, but I really don't see religion as much of an influence in public schools. Absolutely zero in higher ed.
  7. You're welcome. But last time I checked, we hadn't yet twisted our collective conservative, freedom-loving heel into this public option nonsense. What happened to you pussies anyhow? Hell, you control Congress and the Exec.
  8. Oh, I think there's plenty of us v them to be had without religion brought to account. If you accept the premise that religion has been used merely as an excuse for war, then, by default, you admit to more humanist causes and motives. It seems to me the only ones being intellectually honest in religious debates are agnostics.
  9. Don't waste you time, Stone. The parishioners that sit in the pews at the Church of Global Warming are no different than the folks who believe Satan buried dinosaur bones in the Earth to "test their faith". And the fact that their proposed solutions just happen to fit nicely with their collective world view renders any hope of deprogramming them futile.
  10. For someone who claims to have Fairweather on the "ignore user" feature, you sure do lose a lot of sleep over me. Par for the course from a little overweight cunt named Choada.

  12. I would say that a glacial geologist (who, BTW, studies the medium containing the record of climate change) has a perspective on the subject that rates higher than a hobbyist, yes? My God. Did you even complete high school?
  13. Is there such thing as an "ex" physicist? I'll have to do some checking to see if this guy was ever a physicist--or just a lab rat. Probably a poseur, crackpot, or a wannabe--like you. In any event, you're demanding a standard from my argument that you are unwilling/unable to apply to yourself.
  14. Are you being willfully ignorant again? I can't keep up this spoon-feeding forever. At the link: Publications Books Easterbrook, D. 16. http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~dbunny/research/global/geoev.pdf not sure why the hyperlinks aren't kicking in. Copy and paste into your address bar.
  17. There were only 73 theses on your web page--a full 22 fewer than Martin Luther produced! So did you read Dr. Easterbrook's main paper? Seriously: I give you peer-reviewed science from a practicing environmental geologist/glaciologist at a reputable university and you give me a HOBBY PAGE from a supposed "ex-physicist who only recently "became interested in global warming." Amazing. You are exactly like a born-again. There's no amount of science and reasonable debate that will cause you to second guess your beliefs--which is exactly what you should be doing in any event.
  18. Spoken like a missionary quoting Bible verses. No original thought required.
  19. Do you realize how simpletonesque that sounds? You're saying that correlation equals causation--and there are plenty of other candidates for causation. Few of them studied adequately as yet. Yes. We've added .008% CO2 to the total. NOT significant.
  20. Um, you didn't read any of it, did you. Easterbrook's resume: http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~dbunny/resume.htm
  21. I think the Obama Administration could care less about prosecuting these terrorists. In their bizarre world, they no doubt believe the discovery process required in a public trial will reveal the true extent of Bush's "crimes".
  22. Here's a scientist/professor from WWU who sees things differently: http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~dbunny/research/global/index.htm More to help temper your fanaticism: http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~dbunny/research/global/geoev.pdf No doubt Feck's attention span will take him into the first or second sentences before he remembers that the IPCC preacher-man told him reading actual statistics was against UN scripture--at which point he will promptly denounce the good professor as a veterinarian crackpot. I'm only expecting slightly more from j_b. After all, he did spend a full two quarters at Western before his status lapsed from academic warning into permanent suspension.
