As Will said it depends on what was being mined. A couple of weeks ago I went for a hike and passed through an old abandoned mining town. As I drove through I noticed signs saying the area was under audio and video surveillance. Once I got home I found out why, it is a Super Fund Site for mercury mining. Thankfully I carried all my water with me. It also was an asbestos mining area. There are warning signs of naturally occurring asbestos in the area. Incredibly there dirt bikes all over the place kicking up all kinds of dust

Damnit, I'm doing family stuff this weekend, but . . . rock climbing on Tuesday and heading up for Hood and St. Helens next weekend, weather permitting!!

I was just checking out Sno-Park permits. Your WA and my CA permits are ok in Oregon. So if you have a season permit, you are good to go. I was glad to see I don't have to buy a second one.

On the surface Gallo is promoting a higher level of wine. Their estate wines from Sonoma. Yet they keep making and selling swill like Thunderbird and Night Train. It's hard to believe there is that much of a market and that much profit to be made. There are many drinks from Gallo that people don't realize they make. Remember Bartles & Jaymes?

One more thing, FLUSH THE DAMN TOLET WHEN YOU'RE DONE!!! I don't know how many times I've had to take a dump and, picked a stall using the proper spacing requirements, and there is someones turds aging in the bowl. Some dudes could also work on their aim! Was at a SF Giants game once and while taking a leaking a woman walks out of a stall tugging at her clothes and saying, "Goddamn men piss all over everything!"

It isn't trask. Dude's simply a troll. I am amazed it took him this long to find CC.com. He registers on a sight, throws up BS and sits back and see's what happens. 1. Keep the feds out of it!!!!! 2. Any thoughts on Arnold's comments. He said the problem is local jurisdictions defying state law. My understanding is local law can be stricter but generally not less restrictive than state or Federal law. Hmm . . . that's may be why the feds are getting into this. Anyway, his take is this will open the door for other possible defyings of state law by local goverments.
