He might, but he also might not want to put up with that kind of bullshit. I'm sure some no name guy could do it, but I seriously doubt anyone looking for a ski partner on a BB a week before the trip could. But if he did I'll be the first to buy him a beer. [ 02-19-2002: Message edited by: AlpineK ] I dont know you go ask him. He has skied some burly shit. I dont think many chestbeaters here could keep up. I really do think he would not haul any loads. Pretty sure his style would be to marathon it during good weather\conditions. Whatever it is alll speculation.

Quick go and ski that ice

Matter of fact you guys go huck that thing so we can all bow down afterwards.
-
You guys talk as if it is some big event. I think it just takes time. And yes he could ski it for breakfast in and out...

Let me start off with this Personally I get the impression allison dont think her shit stinks. I dont care either way. I will drop coils on it...

Shit I think either one could do it. I only know about Troy..

[ 02-19-2002: Message edited by: Lambone ] Fred Beckey does stuff like that all the time. He likes to get going right out of the car...

quote: Originally posted by David Parker: In the right conditions, I suppose the east chute could be skiied "no problemo." I wouldn't say that about the west chute. But that's assuming you magically appear on the top with your skis and not a big pack. But you WON'T do that unless you have a helicopter. So if someone skis the North Face of Buckner in winter, I'll call him "bad ass" because it WILL be a "bad ass" trip! You can call it what you want. All I am saying is that you guys are full of shit if you think some yahoo with no big name cannot do it. I met some dude in canada last month that skis shit like that for breakfast after a long night of drinking and smoking weed.

When I read this header I think "Cheap Lilloowet Girls" for some reason

quote: Originally posted by AlpineK: Oh I don't think the actual siing of Buckner would be that bad ass. I mean I bet you could fall down the lower 2/3s and be ok. But hiking 14 miles into the parking lot would suck big time and trying to get to the base of the N face could be stupid dangerous. Yeah maybe. But some people are in good shape and dont care about objective dangers. I know plenty of them....

I look back and think just right conditions and person will allow it. I hope he skied it and sprays all over your asses!

The Reynolds is the cheapest.....

I guess the pigs in Yosemite would be a direct relation to the five 0. Just working for the NPS. These type of pigs specifically fall for coffee and donuts. The species I know about will eat anything.
-
The only pigs I ever dealt with had tusks. They did not seem to be scared of anything but bigger pigs with bigger tusks or guns. They lived in Germany and Georgia when I saw them. Quite hairy and aggro. Will eat your food unless you have gun or weapon.

Pope Rocks and I plan on nominating him for alpine buddy next week!

Rolling in the snow with Tele Chix !

YOu know I dont think I will be heading to these things any more. The only persons I seem to climb with that show up are Mattp, dr.jay and chris_w. I'll just drink with them when I see them or climb with them. I dont have any future desires to go any more. The whole I am cooler than you it is in my city attitude has ruined the experiences for me. See you out there I'll be flailing.

I think the real issue lies in the widespread bolting is linked to more crowds... I did not say bolts are bad but the question may lie in how many are going to be plugged in?

quote: Originally posted by JayB: If only everyone who expressed their dismay at the impact that climber traffic has on the Coulee would take part in clean-up and/or restoration efforts over there the place would probably look a whole lot more pristine than it does now... I dont think I have left any trash of bolts on the rock. Why do you select me since I hace expressed dismay to clean up someone els's trash?

By the way, I ended up on that ridge before too. After my solo traverse across the West face from the North. Interesting down climbing and such. Wish I had a rope at that time. Long drops... Funny thing is I think those routes are good and not much attention is paid to them.
