Classy! Pretty lame insult DPS. Let's review the comments at hand: Jayb just proved how easy it is to figure out who the guy is. Consider how the deadman's friends and relatives would feel reading how his former friend to impress her boss eats M&Ms over his body and says that stuff. Imagine now that you were his widow and once served the writer Thanksgiving dinner in your home and now read that. Imagine it might not even be true. How calculating. And you think I am not "classy" because I would use something stronger than "Bitch" to desribe the writer.

I know it's a bit longer drive than you are loking for but Smith has a truckload of really good trad routes. Spiderman comes to mind but there are a ton of them. I climbed Spiderman but in the days of the first Thomas guide and still remember it as being a fun route.

I don't think we know each other so I have no illusions about being "better than that." I do have several friends who have died while climbing. I am fairly certain that if it was my friend she wrote about "Bitch" would be one of the nicer things I said about her. If the story itself turns out to be complete fiction then she is beneath contempt.

That would be annoying but as I said I've never had to deal with a Mountie hoard before. I have met plenty of jerks that weren't Mounties.

I was at the LTW a few weeks ago and there were ropes on every climb from Iron Horse to Godzilla... a few route break and then more climbers. Nobody (except for Sloe Children) was climbing more than the first pitches. TRs were everywhere. Everyone seemed happy and friendly I don’t see the difference between an organized mob on occasion and a regular spontaneous mob every weekend.

I've climbed a fair amount in Wa and I can't remember ever running into a Mounty clusterfuck. Generally tho if I see a big group of climbers at a crag I just drive on to the next. I am convinced the Mountie crowd problem is a bigger internet event than an actual crag event.

I've always liked the Beatles and have several compilation discs that are always in one of my cars. All my Beatles albums are stored on my server so I rarely think of "albums" anymore and it wasn't until I read the track listing in the OP that I realized I have completely ignored this album on all my compilations. Maybe it’s the result of 42 years of constant airplay.......
