The signage has changed at Fossil and most of Weyerhaeuser Vail log'n area. Now that hunting season is over it's back to walk in access....access during the week has always been iffy for Fossil with it being the 1000 road Weyerhaeuser's main line log'n road ...give the log'n trucks a wide berth they think it's funny to dust you out.

Upcoming Snoqualmie Valley Rock Guidebook
LUCKY replied to kurthicks's topic in Author Request Forum
option #3 Climb/hang or put up routes with the locals of the North West, climb and compare routes, share beta, be respectful, run into them at the crag, UHMMM there has been guide Books in the NW That....I have to hurry up and make sure my mega classic gets into the new guide, hope they put in the pic of my heal hook dyno to a mono doit....well you know what I mean. A guide book is more than the bumbly look'n for the 5.5 or the hard man look'n for the 5.14 test piece, it's history, route style(First Accent list)..... -
Upcoming Snoqualmie Valley Rock Guidebook

The only reward for a route setter, for his hard work and money is acknowledgment and respect and when you have been climbing for awhile you will learn that the first accent list will tell you the quality, runout or style of the climb, I happened to be a groupie of the good ones. Check out a Beckey guide, FA BETA and REFERENCES to BETA from other Books. I am not a Black Belt Internet Spraymaster so I can be irascible and not to political correct with the keyboard. Upcoming Snoqualmie Valley Rock Guidebook

:Let me bring up some history here, in the late 90's a dude named Garth befriended some of the local route setters and after stealing/plagiarizing there beta come out with a guide book in his name only, and than come out with more guide books with bad beta and not even mentioning the first accentionist, Garth hardly put up any routes and deleted the first accent list(they are not his routes) and gave no acknowledgment for the plagiarized beta. One of the local route setters has been working on a comprehensive guide to SNO VALLY with areas/routes that have been up for a decade and have not seen the internet to keep the beta from being ripped off. So any guide book for SNO VALLY without a shared authorship and/or acknowledgment and first accentionist list and the approval of the climbing community is a blatant beta/guide RIPOFF The only reward for a route setter for his hard work and money is acknowledgment and respect and when you have been climbing for awhile you will learn that first accent list will tell you the quality, runout or style of the climb, I happened to be a groupie of the good ones. Sorry if I offended anyone but it is what it is!: Don't shoot the messenger -
Social Media, Facebook, Twitter, maybe a protest in Federal Way to gain news media I am not that computer savvy and due to my location I was hope'n there would be an activist here that would step up. 155,000 acres Vail Tree farm closed to public access.

Where is the RAGE? 155,000 acres locked up to public access Thurston co Vail, Fossil, Deschutes river area, no news reporting, nothing on the internet except this blog, and for the privilage of an open space tax break the public and tax payer, Weyerhaeuser must have mussel It's like banking, to big to prosecute or too big to regulate Where is the rage/activist

Despite early strong support for the measure, a recent poll suggests sentiment against the measure, known as I-522, is growing amid an onslaught of corporate-financed advertising ahead of the Nov. 5 referendum. Voters will decide whether many common grocery items containing ingredients from genetically altered crops should be labeled as such. State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, a Democrat, said in a lawsuit filed Oct. 16 that the grocery group illegally collected and spent more than $7 million while shielding the identity of its contributors.

Looks like some are already on board to be first in line to reap the profits of safe food http://www.yelmonline.com/news/local_news/article_bd7b9b7e-3d08-11e3-b845-001a4bcf887a.html

Organic food label, GMO label same thing...informed consumer Currently, 64 countries around the world require labeling of genetically engineered foods. Unlike most other developed countries – such as 15 nations in the European Union, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Russia and even China – the U.S. has no laws requiring labeling of genetically engineered foods.

Just which avatar is the spray master coming back as?

Sounds like someone put together petzl draws with the carabiner through the rubber band instead of the carabiner rubber band to hold the carabiner fixed Who ever did this should not be considered a climber and be prosecuted under IDtentee ERROR and not judicial law.

The old/first guide book by Matt Stanley 1995 was titled Vantage Rock. The new guide books calls it Frenchman Coulee... most of the climbing is in Echo Basin and none in Vantage and only a little in Frenchman Coulee proper. I remember when the new guide book came out and climbers went Frenchmans Coulee... WHAT....Vantage is a much cooler name. Who cares I call it both

Less of a visually impact, cheaper, approved design and KN rating, stainless Steel will last lifetimes.
-
Hardware store screw gates and chains added to FIXE anchors WTF
-
Someone added plated steel hardware store screw gates and chains to existing routes with Stainless Steel 25 KN Fixe ring anchors visually cheapening the routes and with out contacting the climber with the first accent.I would be OK with adding a bolt for protection, but mank'n up a route..NOT ETHICS The person in Question should get out there and remove there mank
-
Hardware store chains attached to 25 KN stainless steel FIXE ring anchors on multiple climbs...WTF...ID ten tee: error The chains are not KN rated Visually unacceptable: The chains can be seen from a long distance and cheapens the appearance of the route. They are not Stainless Steel and will rust and be hard to replace. The climber with the first accent was not ask. The routes have all stainless steel approved climbing hardware except the MANK chains Remove your MANK no questions ask!!!!!
