WAAAAHOOOO!!! The triumphant return of Office Space! All Hail The Mighty Office Space!!!
-
hey nick, seriously, I have a buddy at TNF who would be more that interested to sponsor a young and upcoming climber. If you could post an itinerary, group list, topo maps, and a list of gear that you would like to test I will make sure he gets it...... yeah, right.
-
Dwayner, I also think that you forgot the all important multi chambered, self-priming, liquid/oil cooled, air and spring damped, blown glass bong.
-
What, are you people too good for Beck now? Sure, turn your back on the only man who has truly loved and lost. Teddy won't be there but someone should. I'm there for ya in spirit man... sean

Message for people that want to bomb our country
hikerwa replied to mikeadam's topic in Climber's Board
I'm not so sure that killing thousands more people is the answer. I don't neccessarily agree with the idea of carpet bombing a whole country only because we are "sure" that the one man (?) responsible for this tragedy may be hiding there. As a matter of fact I think that by retaliating with force is reducing us to the level of the terrorist. And furthermore, if Charlie likes the fact that there were several racial slurs in the email he received, and actually believes that crap, I feel sorry for his bigoted attitude towards the world. I personally am embarrassed by the attitude towards violence and redneckism that is taking over our country. peace. sean -
yet again, and if anyone wants to "pre-register" Beck and I could get a grasp on hom much coffee, pancake batter, tent space, etc... that we will need, please hit the more info button or email me directly at hikerwa@mindspring.com thanks sean

Hey boys and girls, more information on the fall ropeup can be found on www.spokeradio.com There is a link to it's very own page on the homepage. There will also be many pictures and stories (true or not...) following the event. sean

I'm like a lost little puppy...I need beer, badly, and would like to know where I will be on tuesday. I hope it is downtown, it's close to me. I am going to drink beer tonight at the ALKI. Hopefully much beer... sean
-
and the MONOTONIZER! and Pencil Pusher....blah, blah, blah...
-
I would suggest seeing if you can demo harnesses, either through REI, Feathered Friends, ProMountain Sports... etc. then hang in it, fall in it wear it around. I bought a black diamond BOD, its got fleecy goodness, and generally works good for alpine and glacier stuff. But there are a ton of other ones out there.... the Isis is great from what I've heard. any, just my thoughts. sean

maybe lambone has a line on some old VW ropes.... I'm shooting for a generator, Large water containers, and a 10x10 self standing tent. sean
-
well put Doug. Hindsight is 20/20.
-
once you are on Harbor Ave it's a piece of cake. The Tavern is accross the street from the boat launch. thanks
-
The Alki Tavern is located out on harbor avenue past Salty's. The address is 1321 Harbor Ave SW, If you get onto the west seattle bridge (hwy) going west, and take the Harbor avenue exit, take a right at the light and follow Harbor avenue around until you see Thai on Alki, the Tav is right next door... good hunting I'll see ya tonight. sean
-
looks like its at the Alki tavern. bout 6ish. I am going from downtown if anyone needs a ride, and I can probably give some rides home if needed... sean
-
I think pitchers of micro brews, a new concept to this crowd, are $9, not very big and seldom cold, but the atmosphere is great and parking is ok. I should be there around 6ish... later, sean

I have a marmot down jacket and it is as if I have comfy, fuzzy bunny slippers for my whole torso. I use this thing everywhere. Usually I climb in a windblock fleece, and sit in my down jacket. Nothing can beat down for compressability and warmth. sean
-
I know this is kinda late notice, but I personally will be suckin' down cold beers and 75 cent burgers at the world famous Alki Tavern. If anyone would like to join me feel free. XXOO Sean

I hate to say, but I have to agree with the mountaineers MOFA book also. For such a small penalty of wieght, less that a few ounces, information that could be easily distorted or misinterpreted should be written down in an emergency situation. But if I leave my pencil and paper lying by the trail (without a note) I am prepared for stefan to grab it.

I agree that if you are in an area with several other parties, it is not hard to think that someoneleft something on purpose to use. I think that it would be safe to assume that if you are at crag (x) and you spot some gear high on the wall and see the same gear a week later that it is free for the taking. Although the Karmic ramifications could be steep, I for one don't usually pack stuff out (except trash) that doesn't belong to me, and I probably won't try to loosen a piece of gear just to add it to my own rack a) it's not mine, b) I don't usually use gear that I don't know the history of. Just what I think about...
-
instead of a club, he could use one of the big Husky pencils... I will agree that a small pencil stub and a piece of paper is nice to have especially in an emergency or rescue situation, besides you can always use the pencil shavings and paper to start a fire (although not in icicle creek canyon, preferably).

beck, you rock. I think you're right, but I'm still savin' up for the Ether pac-lite jacket.
-
