Went out there to climb the grand in middle of May. Avy conditions were bad, we were the only car in the parking lot. My impression was that summer was coming later to the rockies than the cascades, but hell, what do I know?
Mount Rainier or Hood probably has the highest numbers, but low ratio's.
Baring has a bad rep, don't know about numbers though.

Going to the tetons for two or three days. Never done anything in the range except for gape at it from the road. Anybody have any quality suggestions as to how I should spend my time? We're specifically looking at routes going up the Grand, none harder than 5.8.

#1 is trying its very best to be a sunset picture, but there's not a red or orange hue to be seen. It looks almost brown, therfore I'll go with #2 based on the color scheme.
