i was wondering this too. if they mold the liner to your foor would it not act like an orthotic anyway? if not, have you tried putting the orthotic between the liner and the outer? i don't wear orthotics so these are probably dumb questions - disclaimer - there is no such thing as a stupid question but there are lots of stupid people.

I found the Ion was just too small. After losing three of them in a row, all within a week, I surmised that the small size and streamlined shaped makes them a natural for squirting out of pockets, pack lids and other storage spaces... I stopped buying them and just went with my Tikka. For long night climbs, like ice climbing in the moonlight, I still use my 10 yr old Zoom w/ 4.5V flat battery cause it is still brighter than any LED lights I've tried (even though it's much heavier too) and burns for 24 hrs with no weakening of the light.

If you have come across any inaccuracies in the 2nd edition, or have new routes or improved access/route info to contribute, please send details either directly to Fred or post them here (not that Fred is lurking here but the forum makes a convenient place where those contributing can see what others have to say and summarized info will be provided to him).

If it was targetted at Canadians they would have called it, not the Rainier, but the Robson or something. The best promo would be to get Chad Kellogg and Dan - to go head to head drag racing in one to set the "Rainier speed record".
