The King of sprayers lets this one out and no one gets on him?? Third hand, I call bulshit. Some one who knew some one told me Yea I believe it was Bunglehead who posted his "friends" story here a year or two ago and i was too lazy to look it up. That makes it 3rd hand or 2nd hand if the "friend" was really him... shaved

I think its worse the other way around, when someone assumes they should be known: "My name is Eric Mohler, but I post as "Pope" on cascadeclimbers.com, you've probably read my insightful postings of pictures of Liberace and sandwiches and agree with my strong ethical stand, don't you!"
  15. Stemalot was bitching about his cold feet in Cumbres and describing how much he wanted to get plastics during our climbing in January. YMMV.

  17. Yeah baby yeah!
  18. the differences between plastics and leathers when strapping on slowshoes, or putting your mountain boots in AT bindings for a short or long ski approach to a climb, is also negligible right
  19. They said WA/OR It doesn't get cold, and the trips aren't long enough that you worry about drying out your boots. Buy Alphas - if your lucky you can trip with crampon on and put a hole in them! and we all know that wa/or area climbers would never do anything like climb at lillooet or in the rockies or in the coast mountains! and places like the pickets or the summit of rainier are doable sub-5 hours so its all warm, dry leather day trips
  20. I may be at work today but I am starting a 3 day weekend as of tonight so
  21. great fixer-upper!
  22. I call bullshit. I wear leather Scarpa Freneys a lot but for winter alpine climbs, cold days ice climbing, and wet spring alpine sloppy snowpack slogging, plastic boots keep my feet notably warmer and significantly drier than leather. I am willing to accept a little bit of klunkiness and a small weight penalty for the extra comfort of dry and warm. I wear Koflach Verticals cause they fit my feet nicely and (unlike Scarpa Inverno/Vegas) have a gussetted tongue and hence stay waterproof in wet conditions.
  23. This is really stupid. so are you
  24. Kalymnos, not exactly tropical, but very warm in season! Puerto Rico, see old back issues of Rock and ice Vietnam North end of Madagascar Brazil, Rio has sea cliffs.
  25. Truth in real estate advertising "Shit hole. Great for meth lab or crazy mail bomber. Nearest neighbours are deaf and blind. Not good investment for ethnic minorities or Catholics."
