  4. whatever you do don't mix nyquil and vodka/borbon etc if you like your liver. staying superhydrated is good but don't get hyponatrea. basically what mike said. gargling with warm salt water is easier than snorting it up you nose though. vitamin c, zinc and echinacea. echinacea tea. tomato juice/V8. chicken soup. big doses of wasabi, hot peppers and so on will also promote the extra nose running. remember you don't want to get rid of the symptoms - you want to INCREASE the symptoms to get rid of the problem faster. hot sauna and/or steaming your nose over a kettle of boiling water are other good techniques. Vicks VapoRub and/or Mentholatum too. and a couple packets of fishermen's friends. get the extra strong ones.

  6. Another good idea is to take their pictures with your digital camera, then forward the pictures to the Conservation Officer service.

  8. that's some cock all right
  9. MoF has nothing to do with it anymore. FVRD is responsible for road and trail. Maybe write a letter to the Chilliwack Times and Chilliwack Progres (local newspapers) as well although assuming these people can read is a stretch.
  10. 60 doesn't block any more UV than 30, it just stays on you longer so you don't need to reapply it as often.

I hear there's some great bouldering in Florida, dynoing from hanging chad to hanging chad.
  13. knowing where the route is is not beta. knowing the grade is not beta. knowing the first ascensionists' name is not beta. knowing the size of gear required is not beta. knowing whatever you can tell about looking at the climb from the ground is not beta. beta primarily but not exclusively consists of information gleaned from watching other climbers on the route, information given to one about the moves that make up the climb and so on. in short: knowing you need to take a #4 camalot is not beta. knowing WHERE you can place the #4 camalot from a secret no-hands-rest using a hidden hold, is beta

  16. Even though it went on June 19 last year, I doubt it will go just yet. Maybe if there's a thunderstorm on Tuesday?

  20. this thread has finally come full circle
  21. As you can see there's still a lot of snow. This is the view from McFarlane. Northnorthwest view looking over the shoulder of Crossover. The triangular snow patches at lower left, just below the cloud, are the bivi ledge and middle 4th class section of the NE Buttress. Mt Parkes is in front. Sorry, no idea yet of pocket glacier conditions or if it has slid.
  22. Was it PINKY?
