  5. How cold is it going to be, and what are you going to be doing? Most outdoor activities generate enough warmth that you'll be ok with long johns. Those military pants are for sitting in a ball turret waiting for one of Goring's Me's to show up.
  6. Tonight too
  7. I believe that the only USMC killed in WWII ETO were Marine gun crews in ships (if any) landing crafts and some observers. I don't have the stats at hand, but I believe it was much less than 50 KIA
  8. I don't know the answer, but we should get rid of them. They only operate as an expensive light infantry, something the Army already does. The Air Force and Navy already have air arms, why do we need a third. Contested amphibious operations are now deemed impossible, but the MC still requires floating tanks which cost $70M each. And now they want this stupid thing, because they can't operate their assault ship within 40 miles of shore. http://rt.com/usa/171936-marines-new-massive-amphibious-vehicle/
  9. I believe that one is still on the federal register and/or still is (capable) of use. Similar to Granite Mt and Miners Ridge. What I believe Tvash is talking about is the abandoned lookouts maintained by volunteers and open to the general public
  10. The relative ratios of potassium, calcium and sodium are all that differentiates granite from granodiorite. While that may be of interest to a petrologist, it makes no difference to a cam hooker
  11. That is Spray, and the internet, in a nut shell. And that's the way we like it! The inner net without spray, opinions and judgements would be like Mazama without the hut. In other words a utopia of the beautiful
  12. In your judgement
  13. Think of it this way, it took several hundred of thousands of dollars, several months and hundreds of pages for a Superior Court judge to make a decision on the meaning of the covenants. How could a intern at the Building and Land Use department make a decision in an afternoon.
  14. I think the defendants would have won in a typical case, because the CC&R's were vague. But once it had a unlimited budget for the lawyers, it became a toss-up.
  15. They are prohibited by law from enforcing anything other than the IRC (in this case) or local amendments legally adopted by the county
  16. No, building and land use departments are not charged with or capable of policing a HOA. That is purely a civil matter. By your line of thinking, a building permit should not be issued until the department parsed the CC&R's to make sure the window, paint and floor finish schedules met the CC&R, all subsequent board meetings and additional filings to the CC+R's? The building department is charged with making sure a structure is compliant with the law. Nothing more.
  17. I just think a meteor that wiped out everything but La Duc's place would be great
  18. Like the masses there in town?
  19. A lot nicer than the ghetto at the airport. It would be a colossal waste of money to do anything when that firetrap finally goes up
  20. OMG everybody, the entire view shed of the rich retired MicroSoft and Vulcan attorneys is ruined by the small cabin of a rich architect. http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2024765926_methowhutxml.html Kind of funny how what is appropriate is defined by which clique does the talking. Hotels, guide services and helicopters are OK, but small cabins aren't.
