olyclimber Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 The Mariners are undefeated. I'm selling tickets again for Ulee's highschool team. $20 each for July 31st vs the Houston Astros. Tuesday night game. 300 level. Quote
Bronco Posted April 2, 2019 Author Posted April 2, 2019 When do these guys reveal themselves to be the crappy team they're supposed to be? Right after the all star break like last year? I just looked and discovered the only other time the M's have started out 6-1, was the legendary 1995 season where they saved baseball in Seattle, winning their first AL West title and making a run to the ALCS. This could be the year they go to the World Series! Quote

olyclimber Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Buy a few tickets for me. It is a fund raiser for Ulee's high school team. Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 I checked out a game last night. First time in a long time - the $30 seat deal is pretty cool. Fun game with three homers and a W (despite the Es) Quote
Bronco Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 One positive of the Corona-19 is we don't have the Mariners to be disappointed about. Quote
Rad Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 If you listen to KIRO 710 ESPN radio in the evening you'll hear re-broadcasts of classic Mariner's games - I came across them training in my dungeon. The past few days have been the 95 ALDS playoff series against the Yankees. Big names, incredible games, great announcing. Maybe living in the past ain't so bad. Quote
olyclimber Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Holy cow how about them Mariners!!!! Split with Dodgers, and just beat the Red Sox in Fenway in extra innings. Heartbreak must be dead ahead. 1 Quote
olyclimber Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Mitch Hamburgler hit a 3 run donger in the top of the tenth. There are a number of players I don't recognize, but they appear to know how to play baseball with great success. Quote
Bronco Posted May 26, 2022 Author Posted May 26, 2022 Here we go again. Haven't been able to bring myself to watch or listen to any games lately. Is it injuries or just terrible at baseball as usual? Quote
Stefan Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 First....(marketing hype) https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/mariners/this-is-the-year-the-mariners-playoff-drought-ends-no-really/ Then...(what is real) https://www.hastingstribune.com/ap/agriculture/larry-stone-i-misjudged-this-year-s-mariners-team-at-least-as-they-ve-performed/article_9fde644e-c7c3-5917-93f8-b986193f6779.html Quote
Rad Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 It's all fun and games until the Yankees steal your young star, just like they did 20ish years ago. Well, I suppose there was Texas in there somewhere, but I try to ignore all things Texas. Quote
olyclimber Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Now @Rad lets just enjoy it while it lasts! Life is suffering, with brief bouts with pleasure. Quote

Stefan Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 I am so used to the way things are. I guess I don't know what to think. I still believe Seattle is a major league farm club. Quote
