freeclimb9 Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 external music tends to make the voices in my head start singing more loudly Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted January 16, 2003 Author Posted January 16, 2003 Who knows iain. I just got this tiny fucker and it's way smaller than my wallet. Quote
iain Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 cool. MP3 rocks. totally expanded what I listen to. Quote
gregm Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 personally, i don't think skiing/riding the area with headphones is a good idea, what with skier collisions and all. but then i guess i'm just a peckerhead. Quote
iceclimer Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 I recently got the Nex IIe and love it. It is also smaller than my wallet. The think I like about it best is that it uses flash cards. You can get up to a 1 gig flashcard for it. It also has a fully adjustable build in eq. Check it out... web page Quote
iceclimer Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 OK.... how about "thing" and "built"... Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted January 16, 2003 Author Posted January 16, 2003 ersonally, i don't think skiing/riding the area with headphones is a good idea, what with skier collisions and all. Hmm. I can't see running into anyone if I'm not riding lifts. So that problem was solved before you identified it. Guess that's what happens when you think you know what you are talking about. but then i guess i'm just a peckerhead. you are a peckerhead indeed. Quote
Dru Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 twight wore headphones and walkman soling on himalayas and didnt worry about not hearing rocks coming joe simpson wore headphones while trekking into base camp too i guess they werent worried about missing the natural beauties of nature and hearing the bird calls while hiking. personally fuck the headphones id rather have speakers to blast Ministry at everyone while top roping at Burgers and Fries 'DINGADINGALANGALANGADONGLINGLONG JESUS BUILT MY HOTROD' Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted January 16, 2003 Author Posted January 16, 2003 I dont know what twight's doin or joe simpson. Why carry a radio to burgers and fries when you can just drive the car up there. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Back when a trip to Smith Rock was The Greatest Thing Ever and a young DFA still kept track of how many times he'd been there, he recalls being up in Cocaine Gully and encountering some hardmen on the uber-classic drill-fest Bongo Fury, rocking to Pantera at maximum volume on the boom box (who the hell lugs a boom box up Cocaine Gully?) and swearing loudly and profusely with each fall. They were rad. Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Music while outdoors Rox. Screw all you haters that think is ruins the beauty of nature, y'all can have fun at the REI birdwatching course with your nature books and soft spoken guides w/o me. I'll be busy listening to my MD and rockin out to some fly tunes. I'm always hummin a tune in my head anyways. Quote
snoboy Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 You obviously ski somewhere to busy. Best find a better place. I hasn't snowed here for three days, and I was skiing fresh lines all by my lonesome today! I love skiing with tunes. I find it screws me up in the trees though, not the right beat usually. Quote
