peel em and freeze em in ziplok bags, even if they're brown. Then you can do what Iain suggests anytime as a frozen smoothie.

nah, just through in some dish soap and water and blend that. you're good for at least 100 rounds before the blender starts smelling bad, the cat complains, and the EPA shows up.

banana's are yucky. best smoothie is a can of peaches, preferably ones with no sugar added with juice... 1/2 a bag of frozzen strwberries and now you are talkin'

col, martha stewart always uses red, so they can charge more for them. actually, they are all the same vegie, they start green, then turn red, then yellow the longer you leave them on the plant. thus, they are more expensive. being mature, the reds and yellows have more sugar and are sweeter/less bitter than the greens.
