dhawkins Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Selling two straight shaft BD Black Prophet Axes with BD leashes (one adze, one hammer). Well used, but in good condition with many more years of use left in them. I'll also throw in an older, used Urbanica ice tool (also straight shaft with leash) that makes a good third tool. Please let me know what you'll pay and I'll give you a decent deal. Buyer to pay shipping. Quote
fleblebleb Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Are they carbon fiber or the other kind? Quote
dhawkins Posted January 6, 2003 Author Posted January 6, 2003 (edited) The entire shaft is rubber - they are pretty light - I think they are made from carbon fiber and aluminum, but am not sure - how can I check? Edited January 6, 2003 by dhawkins Quote
iain Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 then they are the standards, not the CFBPs. They may well have some carbon fiber in them though. Quote
iain Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 FWIW, I have them and like them a lot. But I'm no ice tool connoisseur. Quote

dhawkins Posted January 7, 2003 Author Posted January 7, 2003 Wasn't getting a lot of interest, so I decided to go ahead and put them on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1987729599&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1987729359&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1987729082&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1987731270 Quote
leejams Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 I was interested as well. Had the high bid on his e-bay sale and he yanked em from me? Quote
wdietsch Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 I was interested as well. Had the high bid on his e-bay sale and he yanked em from me? I'd say they were worth more than $65 (posted high bid), ... hell, a couple of years ago I sold one old Lowe Hummingbird with extra picks on ebay and got $45 it Quote
wdietsch Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 by the way ..... what the hell is a "Urbanica"? Is that anything like a harmonica you can smoke herb with? Quote
leejams Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Yeah but why would someone put an item up for sale with a his lowest price he was willing to go. Then at the last minute yank it? Maybe I offended him with my offer of $350 for most of his gear he had up for sale. who knows. Maybe he got a better offer than the one on ebay. NO biggie. Quote
