I've encountered those baked Canadian ice-tool wielding deer before. A rough herd. They drink a bunch of Kokanee and start stumbling around in the roads, defying the #1 deer maxim: never be caught in the headlights.

duh.

picked up my new tua cross-rides w/G3 bindings today, and I'm pretty stoked. Now if we could just get some fucking snow...

what are you doing sitting around? I got a Hood summit today in sun and no wind and killer turns all the way to timberline. There's good snow to be had, get out and use yer new ride! grin.giffruit.gif

nice work. I'll bet it was a great day up there. I was trapped in town with a hangover and a bunch of shit to do. I'm thinking about taking a day off this week to try out the new boards, tho. Where did you start skiing from?

A ways up the hogsback, dropped off the east side. skinning conditions are excellent and you can get way up there before taking the skis off. If this high-pressure system sticks around for some good freeze-thaw climbing conditions will be excellent on all the good routes over the next few days. I expect some trip reports from you guys. Skiing will most certainly suck though. Enjoy.

I skiied Red Mtn on Kootenay Pow Pow. No snorkel required although 1 fatality occurred 200m from a groomed run. frown.gif

Hey Erik did you guys climb the Toke'em Pole after I left?

If you can believe it, I had never skied there before. It certainly lived up (or is it down) to its reputation. Its only virtue is that it is close to town and the roads are good. I expect that under rare circumstances the snow could be good there, but then it would be crowded, would it?
