mattp Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Why don't you guys think if something clever to say? Suck butt nuggets and your mom said you couldn't get it up just isn't all that intelligent. Quote
ChrisT Posted December 20, 2002 Author Posted December 20, 2002 um guys...we have thread drift here. Let's stay on trask...er task, kay? Quote
ScottP Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 ok - to the males who like to cook a lot and are hooked on the Food Network - any special "tool" or gadget make your life (in the kitchen) easier? I like, and use a "mezza luna". It's one of those curved chopping knives with two handles. It makes dicing things super fast and doubles as a pizza slicer. You can find cool, old ones at antique stores for pretty cheap. Good Luck. Quote
allthumbs Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 I like eating at Benihannas where they slice and dice right at your table. The Saki's not too shabby either. Quote
Greg_W Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 A mandolin is always a useful kitchen tool. Quote
iain Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 I dunno I live off Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Quote
allthumbs Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 My kid eats that shit. Is it nutritious? Quote
sk Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 NO!!!! please a teen will eat it how can it be good for you??? Â Quote
Greg_W Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Cheerios got me where I am today. Have the occasional box of Honey Nut Cheerios. Quote
iain Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 what are you talking about? It has cinnamon from the spice group and toast from the bread group. Breakfast, most important meal of the day. The best is the cinnamon sugar milk left behind. Quote
iain Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Have the occasional box of Honey Nut Cheerios. oooh life on the wild side occasionally. I'm amazed you survived your youth! Quote
Greg_W Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Iain, the Spice Group broke up several years ago; I think a couple of them put out solo albums. Quote
sk Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 scarey but true... after I started climbing some of my girls from high school started calling me sporty spice  (and yes I still have some friends that I have had from school ) Quote
Dru Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 The amazing tendency of Cheerios floating on milk to "magnetize" together is a good model for gravity wells merging as planetesimals congeal to form a planet during the formation of a solar system Quote
Greg_W Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 That's what I'm telling ya: nutritious AND educational. Quote

sk Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 cherios still have like 10 grams of sugar you are just feeding the fat Quote
Greg_W Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Serious? Maybe I should switch to a lower sugar cereal. Any suggestions? Quote
iain Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 is that per cheerio? maybe cheerios also model the advance to multicellular life...if you let them sit long enough they start doing long division and developing missile defense systems and stuff. Quote
Dru Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Surface tension I think. But the Cheerio on the milk surface is remarkably similar to the Einsteinian distortion of space time seen in a gravity well (the famous rubber sheet model). You could probably make more massive effects by stacking Cheerios, but eventually they would grow too heavy for surface tension to support, creating a black hole and soggy Cheerios too. Quote
iain Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Serious? Maybe I should switch to a lower sugar cereal. Any suggestions? Try Kashi. Boxed air for only $2.99. Quote
