I don't think anybody would have much time to worry about sunrise and sunset or high and low tide.

H1 orbits outside the 20-day orbit of a pair of eclipsing stars that are 1.5 and 0.41 times the mass of the Sun. It revolves around its host stars roughly every 138 days. Beyond the planet's orbit at about 1000 AU (roughly 1000 times the distance between Earth and the Sun) is a second pair of stars orbiting the planetary system.

How long till I'm burned to a crisp sounds like a better question.

First truly earth size planet discovered around our closest neighbor(s) the Alpha Centauri system. The planet orbits sun-like Alpha Centauri B. Weather's a bit toasty there, though - it's only 4 million miles from the star.

Big week for planet hunters.

Lots on interesting things being found these days. Guy I works with son in law to be recently discovered some planet. For myself, I thought that the Mars project is fishing out some astounding things as well....dry river beds, warmer than expected temps, mystery spheres...Woot!

Meh, I read about the diamond planet months ago, or a diamond planet, anyway. Or...maybe it was just a zircon planet.

Can't remember.

FAUX isn't drowning in its own bluster tonight for some reason. Hmmm. Slow news day?
