backclipped Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Anyone still gamefully employed enough to be considering new AT boots might want to stay the trigger until the new Dalbello line makes it in-country in December. The flex is too soft for my liking (similar to the Garmont Adrenaline...as far as feel goes), but the touring mode has, by far, the best feel out of all the boots I've checked out. Just some FYI from a shop guy. Quote
backclipped Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 Poop. Sorry. I should have posted this in the gear section. Quote
Joe_Poulton Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I heard about those and checked out the google info...the color of the boot...I hope they come out with better color: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110729&highlight=dalbello Quote

AlpineK Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Interesting boot design. If it was dynafit compatible it would be even better. Quote

Frikadeller Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I saw those in the Gear Issue of Backcountry. Looks interesting, especially the hinged tounge. I imagine that would make walking and skinning a little more comfortable. But, how does that affect the down hill parts? Quote
RuMR Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 i don't understand how this stuff cost soo much more than high end racing boots...wtf?? Quote
letsroll Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 agree rumr. Basically they have use by the tour...if you know what I mean. Quote
AlpineK Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Yep the boot is nice, but I looked at the price and instantly said NO! The boot cost doesn't even cover getting an improved foot liner for it. Maybe the one that comes with it is good, but my experience is that new boots require a purchase of a better quality liner. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I'd buy them if they came in a 22.0 shell. When the is someone going to manufacture a 22.0 AT boot??? Quote
RuMR Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 you are a gear whore! sheesh...You are very very lucky that they don't make a lot of stuff in *kiddie* sizes...otherwise, you'd be one broke sucka! hey...expensive lunch on friday?? Quote
