Decent water table Plenty of cold air up North Short days The event may only be 5-6 days Right now , all they know is that little blue tail is headed down the Columbia river gorge in Canada. The great enemy is the Pacific O. I will see if I can figure what that might do If the high tracks like the dotted line says, and it stalls off the coast, then I will sharpen the tools! I will keep my eyes open and post reports...of course after I have climbed any ice that has formed. I can break away from work at any time to jump on ice if any one is interested. MtnHigh Posted December 15, 2008 Author Share Posted December 15, 2008 Chad and I did a recon trip into the Gorge today (Monday). Everything is very thin. It still needs another day or two for the low elevation flows to set up. I drove around PDX mid day yesterday when the storm was kickin' it pretty good just observe the chaos. Tow trucks everywhere moving about like hawks picking out their prey. Eased my way over Sylvan hill on 26, weaving through the spun out carnage, ODOT trucks and jacked semis.
