intheways
I scored a sweet set of skis with Dynafits, but I need to get the bindings adjusted for my boots. Any recommendations for a shop? Thanks
mkporwit
Marmot Mountain Works in Bellevue would be my recommendation.
Alex
Martin Volken's shop in North Bend, Pro Ski
hasbeen
Pro Ski on Aurora if you are looking for a shop in Seattle.
AlpineK
Pro Ski on Aurora if you are looking for a shop in Seattle. Maybe. I have heard a few less than positive stories; then again I've heard some good reports too.
jon
Call World Cup Ski Service in Bellevue and ask them if they mount Dynafits. If they don't know how to do this they won't. They are the best pure service place in the area.
AlpineK
Thanks for bringing that up. I just called them and yes they do mount dynafit bindings.
DirtyHarry
I've had good luck with the employees at Pro Ski.
korup
Pro Ski in N Bend is still run by Martin Volken and is highly recommended (the ski tech, Caley, knows his sh*t). The Seattle location isn't, and it shows (shopkeeps are too busy "bro-brahing" to interact with lowly customers). Second Ascent also does a great job mounting D'fits. Marmot charges double what they should.
DirtyHarry
I agree that sometimes you have to wait for a while to talk to someone at Pro Ski. But the employees there do know their shit. That doesn't have anything to do with mounting bindings anyway.
intheways
Thanks for the replies. I will probably got to 2nd ascent or Pro Ski, depending which I am closer too.

The three times I've stopped by the Seattle store, the punks behind the counter simply couldn't be bothered to stop yacking about getting wasted and/or "sick park sessions" to acknowledge the fact that a customer was actually in the shop and wanting help. I will happily steer people elsewhere.
AlpineK
I think the store is different from when Martin ran it. I had stuff done by Martin and the place ruled, but it's been a while since then.
Hugh Conway
Maybe I am insane, but I assume customer service is a crucial part of any business. I will happily steer people elsewhere. I've had similar tude at the North Bend store. Almost aggressive at times. Alas, such is the fate of ski stores in the current era. And so the solution is to mount my Dynafits myself.
AlpineK
I just got skis with mounted dynafits back from World Cup. The work they did looks really good, but I haven't skied on them yet. World Cup
