ApeMan Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Larry!!!1 You're back! How was WR of Stuie with Rob? Missed you guys for brews in 11worth this past w/e. Hope you didn't epic in the rain. We did epic, it was snowing the last 3 hours to the summit and rained all the way down, but we summitted on Sat. and crashed just after we started up Long's Pass about 10pm. A great climb but my body is paying for it now! Check your messages here. Larry Quote
Fairweather Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Maybe you should fire off an AR 15 at close range near each one of your partners at the start of every climb. It is unlikely even that would cause you to emerge from the tent. Quote

billcoe Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 good call on the ear-pro bill - when i fired off my little bro's ar-15 up on livingstone mtn in the wild and heady days of the post-iraq invasion i was certain a) i would never hear again and b) i was going to fucking jail These will amplify noise as well. You can hear animals a long distance away when you crank the volume (and you are hearing in stero!), yet they cap the upper noise limit at 65 db. Pretty trick. Ask Kyle - he was in awe. So you are standing there conversing, blam blam, blam goes the .45 or .223, no big deal. Quote

Don't sweat it, man. There's nothing wrong with campin'. Besides; I was talking about "Author's" Alaska trip. Edited September 23, 2008 by Fairweather Quote
