dreimer
I'm headed up to Muir on Friday morning. I have some new boots, and crampons I'm testing out. Anything else I should bring for the trudge up the hill? I'm only bringing a few clothes (in case), and boots/crampons/gaiters,axe, poles, water...I also carry a harness, but nobody to rope into, but another "just in case". Again, just a walk up to the camp and back down.
Blake
given the forecast, I think an air conditioner qualifies as one of the ten essentials.
dreimer
Well, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to haul that thing up there! I know the "Ten Essentials", but do not want to be one of those people hauling 60lbs of stuff up to the camp just to haul it back down too...although this early in the season, it could have a work-out benefit! The Jerk
I'll be climbing that way Friday and Saterday maybe I'll see you on the way. I think I better wear a sun shade hat under my climbing helmet.
AlpineK
camera, picnic spirit, and incense for the hut! Make sure you talk it over with others in the hut before lighting the incense. (note: be sure to ask if they have friends about to enter the hut)
