Hugh Conway Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 If you think thats retarded, then you may have math issues Choda Boy:-) REI gear << cash or airline miles Quote
billcoe Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I suppose the best part about REI in my life is I met my wife there about 5 years ago. Remember, if that doesn't work out for ya, REI has a great return policy... Whoa! I almost missed this jewel! Quote
billcoe Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 If you think thats retarded, then you may have math issues Choda Boy:-) REI gear << cash or airline miles Airline cards charge for their cards or have restrictions- no interest here. BTW, if you hang out and wait till like July, you can get cash on an REI card, instead of gear. Quote
Off_White Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I don’t go into REI to “ask advice, or get help trying on a back pack or really ask advice about anything” I go there to buy then leave…… Same rules of engagement for Home Depot, eh? Quote

I pay no fees for my airline mileage award visa (I don't carry a balance on it) and the only restrictions are blackout dates for flights. Even so, I am skiing in the alps next winter and used miles to book the flight. Quote

Hugh Conway Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I'll remember that when I get my $388 check. When's the last time you were able to book a refundable openjaw ticket to Europe for $388? S. America? New Zealand? Hell, sign up for a cash back card and you get it monthly or quarterly instead of up to 18 months later...... Quote
rbw1966 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I'll remember that when I get my $388 check. I know I will when re-allocating that ~$1200 that I was looking at if I paid for the ticket with cash. Quote
