tvashtarkatena Posted March 1, 2008 Share Posted March 1, 2008 Airbus agreed to move both its tanker (military) and commercial aircraft final assembly (for the same model) to Mobile and thus create 3000 American jobs. That probably sealed the deal. It's a good move for Airbus to outsource as much production as possible to counter the strength of the Euro; large aircraft are purchased in dollars.
