Nick Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Just in case this troll is not trolling: Avalanche danger is particularly serious this year and is always serious high on Rainier in winter. It takes more than a few trips to get a useful grasp of avalanche safety. Quote
tony.henley Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 thanks and what is trolling  Quote
AlpineK Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Tony maybe you should team up with Darasius she posts in the climbers board. Quote
Jeff W Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Tony, you asked what is a troll: Â Trolling is a game about identity deception. The troll attempts to pass as a legitimate participant, sharing the group's common interests and concerns. Quote
Mike_Gauthier Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 This is all very interesting. Â So Feck, do you really hate Rainier? Â It sure is snowy up here. Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 This is all very interesting. Â So Feck, do you really hate Rainier? Â It sure is snowy up here. Â Feck would lock Rainier if he could. Â let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Quote

It has been a while since I've been there, but there are a lot of cool places around here. I'll be just south of the park next weekend. Â It sure is snowy all over. Quote
Frikadeller Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 again what is a troll  If you clicked the link I provided, you would understand....   I guess a hyperlink is too much for you to handle...   Another link for you to click on....   If this is "too in depth" I suppose I could dig up a more "redneck" explanation. Frikadeller Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Tony, you asked what is a troll:Â Trolling is a game about identity deception. The troll attempts to pass as a legitimate participant, sharing the group's common interests and concerns. Â Â Ahh... Yes that is part of "trolling", but that is a super simple explanation of the "subject"... Â Â Â see this Edited January 29, 2008 by Frikadeller Quote

Go to a pub club. meet some folks at the gym, hiking, at Mt Si or Little Si, so they can try you out before they buy...no one wants to get up on a mountain in a dangerous situation with someone who lacks skills and knowledge.  most people who post here know each other or have met or have met someone who knows someone. make an effert to be sociable.  post some trip reports.
