AlpineK Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 You'll be close to a lot of rad climbing. Quote

AlpineK Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 You'll be close to a lot of rad climbing choss. Â Spoken by a man with little Canadian Rockies experience. Quote
G-spotter Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Pfff.. the best routes on Yamnuska are looser than the worst routes on the Chief and the same is true of the mountains. Quote
glassgowkiss Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 maybe you can share your tick list with us? I have climbed a fair number of lines on both faces and i don't share this opinion. Quote
AlpineK Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Have you ever heard of Edith Cavell, Robson, or the Tonquin valley? And that's just a few. Quote
G-spotter Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 OOh yah, Robson is known for its high-standard rock climbing Maybe in comparison to Bellingham Quote
Choada_Boy Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Which route did you climb on Robson? Quote
AlpineK Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Dru you're obviously not a good enough climber to do anything other than granite climbing. Â I am curious what routes you've done in the Canadian Rockies. Robson? Oubliette? Or have you only been to the Banff film festival? Quote
G-spotter Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) I climbed Squaw's Tit. Onsight. Phone the mags! Edited November 14, 2007 by G-spotter Quote
i_like_sun Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Yeah, Bellingham is just a rainier, colder and windier version of Seattle with less people and more and cute girls and trees and cool coffee shops and close mountains and neat pubs and good grocery stores more hippy things to do. Â Â Better stay away. I hear Austin Texas is real neat. Quote
xyzzy Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Yeah, Tennessee, the rock scene in Boulder, CO is pretty huge. Hard not to be with Eldorado Springs, Flatirons, and Boulder Canyon (all with world-class routes) within 5-20 minutes of the center of town. Don't go there if you're into mountaineering, though. The Colorado Rockies can't compare to glaciated pacific northwest peaks. Quote
