AlpineK Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I've spent a week at that place and the lift assist to some fucking amazing bc skiing rules. I'd plunk down some cash. Who else is in? Quote
snoboy Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I got CA$20, what's that, about U$25? Quote
G-spotter Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I'll buy it if they throw in Terrace. Quote
Bigtree Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 So, your saying that Terrace is the loss leader in this deal? Seriously though, despite the fact that its in just outside of Terrace, this strikes me as a good deal having skied there 5 -6 times over the years (buildings, equipment, well developed/variety of runs etc...). AlpineK Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I only ever bought one all day lift ticket at Shames. The rest of the time I would just buy one ride tickets so you could get to the top of the trees and then truck on up to these great 2,000' north facing bc runs. That what I liked about it a little postage stamp ski area in the middle of sick shit. I had a great lift assist bc ski vacation that winter. We drove up Vancouver Island to ski at Mt Cain for a week. There was fantastic lift assist bc skiing there, and we toured and partied with all the locals there. Then we got on the ferry to Prince Rupert and headed to Shames where we did the same. After that Rogers Pass for the pure stuff and then Whitewater for more lift assist bc skiing. I may as well do a plug here. Mt Cain Shames mountain Whitewater You'll just have to figure out Rogers pass on your own. Quote
Frikadeller Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I've got $100 from selling scrap copper... Let's start a pot!!! Heh. Quote
billcoe Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Man that's up there. How much money are they losing? Quote
AlpineK Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 It's totally worth the drive for bc skiing with a lift assist past the lower trees. Quote
