Isn't that the hike that dead ends after 1/2 a mile at the falls?

WTF, how could they get stuck there?

"Officials said 24-year-old Mike Leveton and 23-year-old Aurora Paulson went for a hike at Wahclella Falls near Bonneville Dam on Sunday and were reported missing on Monday when they failed to show up for work.

A concerned co-worker drove to the trailhead and found their car, but found no sign of the hikers. Searchers said they used whistle signals throughout the night and that the Multnomah County Sheriff’s department was in contact with the hikers but was unable to locate them.

Around 6 a.m., the FOX 12 helicopter spotted the two hikers waving foil blankets in a steep canyon. "

The Oregon State Legislature is now considering a bill to require anyone who steps out of their car while in the Columbia Gorge be required to wear a Gorge Locater Unit (GLU) along with 7 packages of GU taped to their chests. Those without the require GLUGU will be summarily shot and then billed for rescue costs, speculation expenses, and the final bullet costs. Do not travel without your GLGU.
