G-spotter Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Trip: Chilliwack Valley - Bah, another failure Date: 2/3/2007 Trip Report: jmace and I left Chilliwhacked at 1 AM. postholed up a logging road for several hours by headlamp. turned around when the snow under the breakable crust was consistently kneedeep and we could just barely see our objective off in the distance postholed back down to the truck at sunrise drove back here, short bivi then a giant loggers breakfast in the greasy spoon and it's raining now as a warm front came in. so much for the weather window Gear Notes: carried small rack for 13km round trip. headlamp no snowshoes Approach Notes: postholes. should have had snowshoes but didn't want to carry-over. park next to burned out car wreck. no paper plates at this time of year Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
