tvashtarkatena Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 To a certain degree, but most civil wars involve one ethnic, religious, or tribal group trying to grab power and resources from another and/or settle old scores. Most of the dire scarcity that results from such conflicts are man made. That's why a careful foreign policy is so important. If you're going to get involved in other nations, you'd best be aware of the buried or surfaced fault lines that come with the deal. Quote
joblo7 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) http://work.colum.edu/~amiller/wolfowitz1992.htm required reading in high school after reading that document, and after looking at all the events since its inception you cannot help but realise , as some here were saying, that world politics is not a bunch of unrelated ,unrehearsed, ramdom series of fuck ups. it is conspired.it has a goal.it aims to place power in certain people's hands. not mine, not yours. that document being implemented by the pentagon without congress input makes me feel like we're in military rule since they are ruling us. Cobra_Commander Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 fancy prose Err, he didn't use a period in a wad of text that could have been about 3 paragraphs. There are more readable e.e. cummings poems out there. Ergo, I would not call it fancy prose. Rather pedestrian, actually. Sincerely, Really fucking smart guy Quote
archenemy Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 The world's security is dependent upon the environment. They are one in the same. People will kill each other to get the air, water and food they need to feed their families. Really? Sounds so violent. I thought there was another way... Quote
joblo7 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 so the only real question then is : 1) we gonna get fucked up by our own military. 2) we all gonna fuck up the planet first and then be fucked up. 3)we'll be fine. our kids will figure it out ,later a survey maybe?? Quote
