Weekend_Climberz Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 So, do the Fusion picks fit on the Vipers? Quote
dbb Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I got the memo, and it says that all BD picks fit on all BD tools (except the venom, but that's not a tool!) Quote
dbb Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 no problem. it only took me a second to pull off the TPS report cover. Â another nice thing about BD's constant head design is that you can put viper components on the reactors or (I'm pretty sure) fusions. voila, leashless hammers. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 Yeah, I just got yelled at by me five bosses for missing that on the cover of my copy of the TPS report. F*ck those guys if they think I'm working on Saturday. Quote

powderhound Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Screw the fusion picks put those laser picks on there much better. Quote
Chad_A Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Isn't that what comes on them from the factory? Quote
Farrgo Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 No reason to spring for the fusion picks unless you want to climb hard mixed routes. Anything else will be better on ice. Quote
NYC007 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 yeah if for alpine the titan picks or alaska are nice.. but lasers are great picks Quote
Kraken Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 (edited) Fusions and Lasers are more or less the same pick. The major difference is the serrated head on the top of the head for stein pulls and the like. The Fusion is a B-rated pick, verses the laser's T-rating. The fusion is slightly thicker, but honestly will work fine on ice in a pinch.  EDIT: fixed misposting of fusion pick width   Edited December 4, 2006 by Clintoris Quote

Chad_A Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Correction, they're both B-certified. The other major difference is the huge downward hook at the end of the pick, which I'd imagine would make it act quite differently. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 No, the Laser is B-rated and the Fusion is T-rated. The Fusion is thicker for the mixed stuff. Quote
