scrambled_legs Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I'm barely surviving work today so I thought I'd start a work survival thread. Post some video links to some quality climbing. I'll start it off with a pretty wicked whipper Quote
aussie69 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I work at a pizza place which just so happens to be the main stop for all the climbers doing rainier (mostly in the summer).Anywho every night i work i have to look at all the lucky bastards going to climb.NOT FAIR! Quote
gmknight Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I work for Big Brother and get my internet through a G regulated server so all streaming media is blocked. I cant even watch video of people climbing while I work. Since we are on the topic of killing time at work, what other websites/blogs do you folks use to make it through the workday (other than cc.com of course)? Quote
catbirdseat Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Right now, I don't know if I have a job anymore. My company has been bought out. Quote
selkirk Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Right now, I don't know if I have a job anymore. My company has been bought out. You win.... That blows goats The least the could have done was to do it at the beginning of the summer when the weather doesn't suck. Quote
catbirdseat Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I'll have to take up skiing or go visit Mom (and Joshua Tree). Quote

Blake Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Cool! Did she rip a piece? yeah definitely. look closely at 3:19 into it. She had placed the piece earlier and you can see her climb by it at about 2:00 Quote
telemarker Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Ya gotta give her credit, probably pumped silly, knowing she's gonna peel and still fighting upwards. Quote

minx Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 relax cbs--they probably can't even layoff anyone until the deal is final. that'll take a couple of months. then you've got the severance package going for you. you should definitely take up skiing or other winter sports. Quote
billcoe Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 That Dano video with the Metalica song "Unforgiven" makes me sad, scared, amazed and gripped all at once. Wow! Quote

I once had a Christmas surprise - laid off Dec 23rd as a part of a site closure. It was all about the balance sheet. Quote

If they'll nice they'll wait until after the holidays... letting everybody worry about them over the holidays is much kinder I was laid off once on December 15 (the profit wasn't as large as they'd hoped!) , and once on January 7 (the company was going down the tubes) It can come at anytime for any reason. Plan on it. Quote
