slothrop
The basement of the Sogo department store at Yokohama station is a bacchanal of beautiful and delicious food. Acres of precious rice crackers, bento boxes, confections shaped like birds, piles of drippy kimchee, barrels of sake. Wish I were back there. Â If you're in Yokohama, I know a few other great places to eat... Â Do post some pictures if you can.

Skeezix
I was just in Japan in May. My first trip. I want to go back. Here's some photos: Mt. Fuji from the bullet train. Luncheon at a Buddhist retreat (vegetarian). Yours truly zenned out at a temple in Kyoto. Sippin temple water. I bought a knife, or hocho, from this vendor at the Tokyo Fish Market. Fishmonger preparing to cut giant tuna at Tokyo Fish Market.
