Acres of precious rice crackers, bento boxes, confections shaped like birds, piles of drippy kimchee, barrels of sake. Wish I were back there. Luncheon at a Buddhist retreat (vegetarian). Yours truly zenned out at a temple in Kyoto. Sippin temple water. I bought a knife, or hocho, from this vendor at the Tokyo Fish Market.
