John Frieh Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 What's your favorite that you check before heading north to the best climbing in WA? Links please... Quote
jordop Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 First, take the entrails of your most intimately loved goat and scatter them in a fire in the shape of BC. Do a COUNTERCLOCKWISE jitterbug around them three times while singing Girls just wanna have fun and then toss all the BC pages from Red Fred into the air. If the topo for Slesse lands north of the fire you will have sun. Which is all about as accurate as this site: http://www.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/forecast/canada/index_e.html?id=BC Quote
fear_and_greed Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 If you're going up around Whistler, this gives you a more detailed alpine forecast http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/weather/forecast/alpine/index.htm Quote

jmckay Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 http://informalex.org/weather.htm Don´t know about the best but if you can read weather maps try the COLA site. SKEWTs are limited in canada. This is a pretty extensive list that the pros scratch their head over. Quote
jmace Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Some of the links are old..but that page pretty much sums up a majority of the tools available for forecasting the weather..hours of fun Quote
jordop Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Ya so two days ago they were calling for 7-10 days of sun and I felt the incoming winds of shit last night in Squimish and lo and behold there's a flood outside my office right now and the next 5 days' forecast has angry rain clouds all over it. I'm gonna go back to the goat entrails . . . Quote
jmace Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 hahahha..today was forecast just fine...the weekend..well Ill give you the goat entrails..fuck My suggestion for this weekend is to get up and look outside..proly will be better than the forecasts indicate.. Are summers are now composed of 1 - 2 day stints of good weather patched together over 3 months to look like seasonal normal weather..crap Quote
jmace Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 maybe this is time for one of my favourite quotes "Forecasting is the art of saying what will happen, and then explaining why it didn't! " Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Here's my choice, but it's more or less a link page to other weather sites. Pretty comprehensive though: http://www.rescuedynamics.ca/wx/canMTNwx.htm Quote
